I am a proud wife and mother of three young children, all under the age of seven. My family and I live in Howard County, where we enjoy spending time outdoors together. A native of Anne Arundel County, I attended Towson University, earning a dual degree in Elementary Education and Special Education. After several years of teaching fourth grade, I pursued my Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in Administration from McDaniel College.
Throughout my career, I have taught Pre-K, Kindergarten, 1st grade, 3rd grade, and 4th grade, before transitioning into teacher support and student intervention role, and ultimately school leadership. I served as principal of a Title I Community School in Prince George’s County for seven years.
As I begin my fourth year in HCPSS and at GES, remains to cultivate a healthy, safe, and supportive environment where staff feel valued and students’ needs are met, all while maintaining high expectations for teaching and learning.

I am thrilled to have recently joined the Howard County Public School System and look forward to a wonderful school year filled with connection, collaboration, and growth! I’m excited to build meaningful relationships, foster a positive school climate and culture, and support excellence in education.
Education truly runs in my blood! My mother is a retired English teacher in Japan, and my grandmother is a retired English professor and high school principal in the Philippines. I am Filipino by birth and American by choice, and I proudly bring my multicultural and multilingual experiences to my work. I speak English, Tagalog, and Spanish and value the diverse perspectives that make our school communities so special.
I have worked in education for more than two decades, serving students from early childhood through high school. My experience includes teaching Head Start, 1st grade, 4th grade Math, 8th grade Social Studies, and 9th grade Social Studies. I have been a National Board-Certified Teacher since 2019 and have served in leadership roles as an Assistant Principal, Technology Instructional Lead Teacher, and Grade Level Chairperson.
I earned my Master’s in Reading Education from Bowie State University and my Administration certification from the University of Maryland. I am currently pursuing my doctorate in School System Leadership at the University of Maryland.
I’m excited for this next chapter and look forward to learning, leading, and growing alongside the students, families, and educators of HCPSS!
