Happy Wednesday Guilford Families!

Yesterday, MSDE released their newest school report cards as part of the new Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA).  Guilford earned 4 Stars our of 5 and had a Percentile Rank of 57.  Congratulations to our students and staff for their ongoing efforts to support our students.  School reports may be found on the MSDE’s Report Card website and additional information on ESSA is posted on the HCPSS website.  We will talk about these results during our PTA meeting on Tuesday, December 11th at 6:30 pm in the media center.

Last week, Guilford was able to celebrate our students with our First Quarter Pep Rally!  During our Pep Rally, we highlight students with Perfect Attendance throughout the entire first quarter as well as those showing ROARing Behaviors.  We had 180 students with Perfect Attendance this quarter and 312 students who demonstrated ROARing behaviors.  In addition, students can earn the Most Improved, the Engagement, the Perserverance, the Collaboration, and the Student Choice award.  Each homeroom selects one winner per quarter for each of these five awards.  The final award at each Pep Rally is the Golden Tiger Award, where teams select two winners per quarter.  Congratulations to all the students for their hard work and efforts throughout the first quarter.  We are so proud of your efforts!
