ABSENCE POLICIES
- A parent note explaining a studentís absence is required upon returning to school. Please include date(s) of absence(s). When a student in absent 3 or more consecutive days a doctorís note is requested upon the studentís return to school.
- Also, any student who has been absent with a fever must be fever-free, without medication, for 24 hours.
- If a student has been absent due to vomiting/diarrhea, the student must stay home for 24 hours following the end of the episode of illness.

*Students are not to arrive/be dropped off to school before9:10am. **Students are
not supervised until the front doors open when the bell chimes at 9:10am. ***Students may not enter the building until 9:10am, when the bell chimes.
LATE ARRIVALS: Students who arrive at school after 9:25a.m. MUST be accompanied by a parent to the Main Office to besigned in before reporting to class.
PARENT/VISITOR REMINDER: NO visitors will be allowed in the building unless they sign in and wear a visitor's badge. PLEASE REMEMBER THAT YOU WILL NEED YOUR ID (i.e. DRIVERS LICENSE)ANYTIME YOU PLAN TO VISIT THE SCHOOL OR PICK-UP YOUR STUDENT.
PARKING REMINDER Please do not park in the bus lane during school hours. We have mid-day buses that come to pick up Pre-K students.
DISMISSAL PROCEDURES To assist in the orderly dismissal & security of ALL our students, parents are asked to please wait OUTSIDE until your child(ren) exits the building.

2012-2013 School Year Registration Information Parents are to register their child at the school currently serving the community in which they reside.
Kindergarten and New Student Registration Week: (student must be 5 years old by September 1, 2012 to register for Kindergarten) Monday thru Friday, February 27th thru March 2nd, from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Evening Registration: Wednesday, February 29th, from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m.
PK Registration begins March 5, 2012. Please call 410-880-5930 for a registration appointment. (student must be 4 years old by September 1, 2012 to apply)
Families with children born outside of the US or parents requiring language interpreting services must contact the International Student Registration Center (Office of International Student Services) for registration @ 410.313.1525 (English/Korean/Other Languages) or 410.313.7102 (English/Spanish/Other Languages). MSDE requires that all children who communicate in a language other than English at home or in daily non-school
surroundings be administered the English Proficiency Placement Test.~ This testing facility is located at the International Student Registration Center (ISRC).~ Parents with children who communicate in a language other than English at home or in daily non-school surroundings are recommended to contact the ISRC for both the registration and testing.
Families who are living with relatives or family friends should contact Kevin Lee, Pupil Personnel Worker, at 410-313-7478 to complete a Multiple Family Disclosure form prior to coming to Guilford Elementary School for registration.
Items Needed to Register Your Child: *Only a parent or legal guardian may register a student. °Parent Picture ID (drivers license)°Proof Of Residency: 1-Deed, Deed of Trust, or Current Lease and 2-Current Month Utility Bill (BG&E, landline telephone, or cable) °Proof of Immunization°Proof of Birth (birth certificate/passport)°Legal Proof of Custody (any judge signed court ordered custody documents, if applicable) °Transfer record from previous school or the name, address and telephone number.
