What a great first week of school!  It was great to see all our students and parents so quickly settle into the the daily routine.  Mrs. Lannon and I had outstanding visits to the teams to talk with the students about Guilford and to review school-wide expectations.  It's clear our students know what's expected as they were able to share most of the reminders with their peers.  

Congratulations to Barbara Brown, our teachers secretary as she accepted a promotion to become the principal's secretary at Jeffers Hill Elementary.  We know she will do an outstanding job but will miss her greatly.  On September 24th, Chandra Hines will join the Guilford staff as our new teachers secretary.  Stop in and introduce yourself.

Please join us for Coffee With Administration on Friday, September 14th at 9:30 for casual conversation with the administration.  It's a great time to hear about what's happening at Guilford and to ask questions.  

We encourage all families to download the HCPSS app on your smart phones.  This gives you direct access to the GES and HCPSS calendars, news items, and links to other important resources.  I use it daily to monitor not only GES events but events at my children's schools.  If you need help with this app, don't hesitate to contact the front office.
