I am a product of Howard County schools, having attended Phelps Luck ES, Ellicott City MS (now called Ellicott Mills MS), and Howard HS. I have 2 degrees from Towson University - the first was in Art with a focus on graphic design and photography and the second degree was in elementary education. I taught 1st grade at Clemens Crossing ES for 3 years and completed my Masters degree in Administration & Supervision during that time. I then moved to Ilchester ES for 7 years, where I taught 2nd grade, Media and then 5th grade. It was my pleasure to serve as the 5th grade team leader for 4 years before being promoted to Assistant Principal. When I am not working hard, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our 3 children. My biggest passion is giving back and I spend a lot of time doing advocacy work for colorectal cancer helping survivors, caregivers, and their families. My husband and I truly enjoy what volunteering does to help others. I have been able to apply what I have learned from my work in advocacy to serving the community of Guilford ES.
