Our teachers have spent the last two weeks actively participating in Long Range Planning (LRP) in both reading and math.  These sessions allow our staff to collaborate and enhance their instruction as we move into the fourth quarter.  Our LRP sessions are facilitated by our talented support teachers, Cheryl Akers, Math Support Teacher, and Joanna Kasda, Reading Support Teacher.  It’s a pleasure to sit in on these planning sessions as our teachers determine how to support the students.  Truly Excellence in Action!
 
Congratulations to the following staff who will be recognized at the HCPSS Gifted and Talented Awards on April 19th.  These staff members were nominated by parents at Guilford for their efforts to ensure that all students reach their potential.  Congratulations to Catherine McNamara, Troi Whitaker, Donna Brown, and Erin Fowler for your outstanding work each day!

Spring Break is finally here!  Don’t forget that Friday we dismiss at 12:50 pm, after a week off for our spring break, schools will reopen again on Tuesday, April 18th.  Friday also marks the end of the 3rd quarter and the ½ day early closing will allow staff to finish grading and work on report cards.  We hope you have a safe and enjoyable break.
