On Tuesday, October 2nd Guilford was officially recognized by the Superintendent at the Board of Education meeting for earning the ECO National Green Schools Award. Congratulations to Debbie Robbins for coordinating our Green Team throughout the school year and to all the students who help Guilford be “green” each day. We are extremely proud of this recognition.
Guilford was given an additional 2nd grade teacher to reduce class sizes. We are excited to let you know that we have hired Rachel Hollenczer as our newest second grade teacher. Ms. Hollanczer was a PDS intern last year in 2nd grade with Mrs. Maynard and is currently an intern with Ms. Hennessie in Kindergarten. She will start on Monday, October 22nd in second grade. Next week, she will be visiting all second grade classes to meet the second graders. We are in the process of finalizing the students who will move into the new classroom and will be in contact with the parents of any students who will be changing homerooms. Congratulations to Ms. Hollenczer.
Thank you for being patient as we have been experiencing some bus issues/changes over the past few weeks. We have reached out to every family who has been impacted by these changes. Our goal is to reach out via email/text if a bus is running late and we know that ahead of time. Thank you for your patience.
Have a Great Week!
