Consideration Cards for 2018-2019 School Year:

Each year our Guilford staff spends time developing class lists for the upcoming school year.  During this process, we utilize both formal and informal assessment data, social emotional data, and student strengths and learning needs to create classes.  Homeroom classes are based on reading levels, we typically have three or four different reading levels in a classroom which allows us to teach a diverse class of students as well as provide focused instruction.  In the summer, we make final classroom placements and match teachers to these classes.

We are providing you, as parents/guardians, the opportunity to provide specific information to us about your child.  Please review the attached Consideration Card as a way to communicate your thoughts.
