Don’t forget, Friday, April 13th is the end of the 3rd Quarter and is only a half day of school. Schools close 3 hours early, GES will dismiss at 12:50 pm. In the afternoon, the teachers will be working on end of the quarter grades.
Congratulations to our After School Bridges students who have been working on multiple service learning projects this year through an organization called We.org. Today, 13 of these students in grades 4th and 5th grade will be attending an all-day program based on what they have learned this year. In addition to the students, Debbie Robbins, Tanya Holland, Esther Drake, Stephanie Schultz and Connie Stahler attended as chaperones. Two of our students will be receiving shout outs during the program, as well as Debbie Robbins who has been the lead teacher of this program. Check out Guilford students on Fox 45 news last night go to the link and look for Seeds of Change -WE Day http://foxbaltimore.com/watch. Semaj'e Evans and Miye'a Ayler did a great job representing Guilford.
It’s a busy time at Guilford since Spring Break. All teams will participate in a half day Long Range Planning session for both reading and math. This is an outstanding time for our teams to collaborate and plan for the final quarter of instruction. It’s amazing to watch as they work with our resource staff to meet the needs of the students in our classrooms.
It’s National Assistant Principal Week, please take a minute to celebrate and recognize all the hard work that Mrs. Connie Stahler does each day to support Guilford. We couldn’t do it without her!
