Good Afternoon Guilford Community!
 
We hope you are off to a great start this week.  I can’t believe how cold it has been this week, especially after such a beautiful weekend.  Hopefully you and your family were able to get outside and enjoy the warmer weather this weekend.  As we learned on Tuesday, there could be a school delay even when it looks like we didn’t receive any snow/ice.  I appreciate everyone staying focused on the weather forecast and checking your emails each morning to see if there have been any impact to our school schedule.   
 
Thank you to all the families who attended our most recent Coffee With Administration.  It was great to talk about the many things that are happening at Guilford.  We discussed the Gifted and Talented Pilot program in kindergarten and first grade, assessment updates, scheduling and staffing updates, and things the parents would like to see GES add to benefit students.  Many of the parents shared a desire to have additional after school opportunities for our students.  We will begin to look into additional options and opportunities that might exist within the county that Guilford could benefit from.  Stay tuned for more information.
 
Report Cards will be sent home on Monday, February 5th.  Please take some time to review these with your child.  Have a wonderful rest of the week.
