We hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving break and that you have time to slow down and spend time with your family.  I know our staff is excited for a few days away from school, it was a busy few weeks with the end of the quarter, American Education Week, and Parent Teacher Conferences.  It was great to see so many parents visiting Guilford during American Education Week.  We had 171 parents, grandparents, aunts, and uncles visit us throughout the week.  In addition, we had over 75% of our families participate in parent teacher conferences during the past three days and we thank you for using the time the HCPSS gives us to meet with your child’s teacher and talk about their progress so far this year.  There are no other official conference times this year, however if you feel the need to meet with your child’s teacher, please reach out to them and schedule a time to talk.  Thank you to all the PTA members who donated food to feed our staff on Monday night, it was delicious!
 
Thank you to all the students who participated in the Jump Rope for Heart events this week.  All donations are due by next Friday, it looks like we will raise more money than last year, which is outstanding.  Official totals will be posted in our next Paw Prints.  We continue to update the Guilford website with helpful information and dates of future events, thanks for taking the time to review what’s happening over the next few months.
