Good Afternoon! It’s so exciting to finally see the sun! Our students are busy enjoying the Health and Wellness Day! Throughout the day we are learning about nutrition and how to create healthy snacks/meals, we are learning how to stay physically active, learning about social and emotional health, learning hands only CPR, and about the importance of dental health. We’d like to thank the following business and organizations for supporting our day of learning. The BAMS Martial Arts, Healthy Little Cooks, Awaken Wellness, Smiles for Kids, Soldier Fit, HC Fire and Rescue, Mrs. Hill and Shannon Jones for their support with mental health, Carolyn Kotz for her CPR class, and Kim Metz and Freny Jani our yoga instructors. All students will come home with a small dental kit from Smiles for Kids, take a few minutes and have them show you what they learned. This wonderful day was coordinated by Mrs. Meredith Gregoire-Cope, Renee Giles, Stephanie Dobbs, and Sylvia Hennessie.
Happy Ramadan to anyone who is celebrating. If your child is fasting and requests/needs a quiet place during lunch, please have them check in with the staff on duty in the cafeteria. We will make arrangements so that your child can spend his/her lunch time in the front office. In addition, they may also stop in the front office before school or before lunch and we will be happy to assist him/her with this request.
